So we have made it to seven! Atta girl Kim! Just keep trucking along!
You might be saddened by the "depressing" things I am posting, but as I have continued to think about what I will be posting about next, I have started to think about the good things as well. You will be happy to know that I have almost figured out that list. Kind of. At least...I have a start on it. I already had this list made :D
Number 7
The way people drive here.
Now you might be thinking,"Well, there are bad drivers everywhere." Yes, indeed there are. I just have seem to have encountered way more than I usually do. :P
It doesn't matter if there is half an inch or 3 feet of snow on the ground. People around here drive like maniacs! They drive like there is no tomorrow! I am serious! You just have to look around and see what people get themselves into. We have, luckily-fingers crossed, have not gotten into any accidents or bumps or anything. No spin outs none while we have been here. I think that goes to careful and safe driving. I know that people out here may be used to the snow, but man, when your car slides everytime you pull out of the drivway or make a turn, you probaly are not doing something right. It scares me so much how people will put their lives into danger!
What is really funny and sad at the same time is how people around here react when it rains. It seriously makes me want to laugh out loud!!! They drive about ten below the speed limit. :D And this isn't real rain...it's more of a very light drizzle. People are so cautious about puddles and what will happen if they go over them too hard. And oh my gosh! It's raining on my windshield help me! It's like, you want to drive 100 when it is snowing hard, but when it is raining....you get the idea. Being from Texas, you sure do know how to drive in the run. I ain't saying it is fun, but haha that'll make me laugh from time to time when I remember these Idahoan drivers.
Also, it is really sad and scary how many people do not follow the rules of safety belts. Again, this may go for a lot of places you know, but how many times do I see kids literally running around in vehicles without proper restrain? It is horrific! It only takes one car hitting you to realize that wasn't a very good idea. I see people I have come to know pick up their kids from school and just let them stand and sit anywhere they want. Seriously?! Have some protection for your kids' lives! You are the parent! BE ONE!! I would much rather be safe than sorry.
There. We did that post. It is over.
BTW-today is a happy day!! Arthur and I get to go to the temple! I am SOOOOO happy!!!
5 more weeks people! 5 more WEEKS!!!
