So here is a continuum of my posts lately. I plan in doing a post with more pictures, but I will need to make the effort there to do that:D
I suppose this will be number 9.
9- I do not love the weather here. I don't. Have I mentioned the snow? How about the ice? How about the snow that turns into the death like black snow???? Hmmmm??? Yeah, you guessed it. I absolutely HATE the cold here:( I just don't see how you can get used to it. Sure, it's a dry cold most if the time but I am a person that hates being cold anytime. I will slightly admit that I do appreciate that people tend to wear more while it is colder, but still. Let us get into the driving. Boy, it stinks. Luckily, we have never had a wreck( fingers crossed) but the very first time I drove on snow and ice I literally wanted to pee myself. It is a very scary feeling when you start skidding everywhere. I felt like I was going to kill my family! Then you have the people that drive crazy and think their vehicles can do anything....yeah right! Look lady from California, just because you have snow tires, does not in any way mean you are queen of the snow. You will crash and burn just like everyone else who thinks they are better than Mother Nature. I hated the blinding of the snow on the roads where I could no longer see where roads were. I hated thinking I could end up being stranded somewhere off course with only baby snacks to keep us alive. I hate fearing for my kids to fall on ice. I hated fearing for myself. Not to mention it lasts forever!!!! We have snow from November all the way to June!!!! Come on!!! People always say," oh you're from Texas? How do you like the snow?" Me-" I hate it." " but but our summers are beautiful." " yes, they are, but that so does not make up for the winters and snow and cold period. I will take the heat. I will. The snow was fun for a few times, but it just can't be continually played in with the kids when it turns rock hard unto ice. I mean, no more snow angels. Just slick surface. Oy! I am just so ready to be done with that part of our life. I know, it can get cold in Texas. Actually quite bone chilling cold some days, but it'll pass by that afternoon or the next day. Not like this. This crazy frozen eternity that haunts me in my sleep! Now, I've gotta run and turn in the heater. The temp is dropping again out there X.X
